Dr. Danyal F. Khan completed his medical education at Khyber Medical College before pursuing his residency in Internal Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell – Staten Island University Hospital in New York, where he served as Chief Resident.
He went on to complete his General Cardiology Fellowship at the same institution and was selected as Chief Fellow. During his fellowship, Dr. Khan received the prestigious Fellow Teacher of the Year Award for two consecutive years, recognizing his outstanding dedication to medical education, mentorship, and clinical excellence. He subsequently completed an Advanced Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, New York.
Dr. Khan is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac CT. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). An active contributor to cardiovascular research, Dr. Khan has presented his work at numerous national and international scientific meetings. His peer-reviewed publications encompass a wide range of cardiovascular topics, including complex coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, acute myocardial infarction, and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Khan specializes in general cardiology, complex coronary interventions, peripheral endovascular interventions, and the management of cardiogenic shock using advanced mechanical circulatory support devices. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered cardiovascular care, with a focus on improving long-term outcomes and quality of life for his patients.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, and traveling.
